At Gardenscape, we like to support small local businesses where we can and last week we provided two bulk bags of Peat Free Planting Compost to sustainable flower grower Red House Farm Flowers.
Chesny started growing cut flowers 3 years ago, initially as a way to get some much-needed headspace while on maternity leave and amidst house renovations. Working single-handedly on every aspect of the business; from research, creating the beds and planting, to marketing and promotion on social media, the business has grown from strength to strength.
Since purchasing compost from us for the last couple of years, developments have included; a new growing area and supplying wholesale to local florists, weddings and events. Additionally, Chesny has recently been donating the beautiful seasonal blooms to local hospices and care homes, for the residents and staff to enjoy.
We love to see such passion and drive in a difficult industry, especially when taking on the task as a solo entrepreneur.
